These Cabbage White butterfly earrings form part of my handmade jewellery collection; a range of vintage inspired pieces featuring my illustrations on laser-cut plywood.
I use decoupage to apply my illustrations to their wooden shapes, followed by crackle-glaze and finally liquid gold leaf to add speckles & highlight the edges.
The butterfly design is featured on both sides so that it can be seen from all angles and when the earring moves. They hang on small gunmetal coloured chains, attached to ball-shaped studs that measure 4x4mm. The metal parts in these earrings are a mix of brass and iron, and are nickle free.
The total earring length is 4cm
The butterfly alone measures 3 x 2.2cm
